Place the green beans in a large skillet and add water until the bottom of the pan is covered. Turn the heat to medium and let the water come to a lower boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until the green beans are tender.
Saute:
Drain the water and return the heat to medium. Add olive oil to the pan and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let cook for 15-20 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and cook for an additional 5 minutes and stir. Add the garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Add a splash of lemon juice and stir until combined.
Serve:
Garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and serve warm. Enjoy!
