One of my most cherished aspects of Christmas is all of the baking. I love filling the house with dreamy scents that lead you straight to the kitchen, with one of my favorites being peppermint! This year I’m combining my favorite peppermint candies with a little cookie action to create Chocolate Candy Cane Kiss Christmas Cookies! Rich chocolate cookies topped with creamy candy cane kisses can only be made better with a few festive sprinkles.

Christmastime Sweets
Peppermint and chocolate are an unbeatable duo when it comes to this time of year! Chocolate peppermint everything please😊 I’m loving the peppermint mochas from Starbucks, peppermint chip shakes from Chick-fil-a, and more. Can anyone else relate??
Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses are one of the Christmas candies I look forward to seeing lined on grocery shelves the most. Creamy swirls of white chocolate and peppermint leave me always reaching for “just one more.” I can never seem to get enough!
These Chocolate Candy Cane Kiss Christmas Cookies are the perfect balance of cocoa and peppermint that won’t last long! If you’re looking for a cookie recipe that’s a little more classic, you can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookies. Or if you’re in the mood for something new, don’t miss any of the stellar cookie recipes in the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies!
Christmas cookies are everywhere and I love it.
How to: make chocolate cookie dough
Start out by mixing your wet ingredients.
Beat softened butter and sugar for 1-2 minutes or until the butter is light and airy.
Mix in the egg yolk, milk, and vanilla and continue whisking a few minutes until combined.
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir and then add to the wet ingredients.
Fold in the wet ingredients until just combined.
How to: Bake chocolate candy cane Kiss christmas cookies
Form 24 small balls of dough and roll into balls.
Pour sprinkles into a small dish and roll each ball in the sprinkles until completely covered.
Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are slightly firm in the center.
Let cool for about 5 minutes. Gentle push 1 Hershey’s Candy Cane Kiss into the center of each cookie.
(If you’re worried about the candy kiss melting, place them in the freezer when you begin gathering the ingredients and they should remain cool)
Enjoy warm with a cold glass of milk!
