Cinnamon Apple Cider Cocktail

Sharing is caring!

Refreshing and sweet, a Cinnamon Apple Cider Cocktail is the ultimate comfort drink for when the weather gets cool. Serve over ice for a crisp cocktail with a holiday dinner, or snuggle up by the fire and enjoy this drink warmed like hot cider (you can even forego the alcohol for a festive and fun alcohol-free drink!). This drink will become a family favorite, no matter the age or occasion!

Feeling Festive

This is my FIRST real drink recipe here on Abundance of Flavor! We can’t forget about homemade lemonade of course but this alcoholic drink is the first of it’s kind.

What better time of year to get in the cocktail spirit than Thanksgiving! The food day of ALL food days.

Thanksgiving to me is the last hurrah of fall before all gears shift to wintry Christmastime. I love fall and like to savor it up with this apple-infused drink.

It would pair wonderfully with all your Thanksgiving dishes such as mashed potatoes, or brussels sprouts, or even alongside fall-flavored desserts like a peach crumble or pumpkin bars!

I can’t wait to be in my PJ’s, snuggled on the couch with a warm blanket drinking this hot cider drink. Bring on the coziness of winter days!

How to: Prepare the Ingredients

Cinnamon apple cider cocktails could not be easier to make. Holidays are stressful enough and this drink takes very little attention and energy away from the important things, like family time and your turkey.

Most of the prep applies to the festive garnish that is totally optional. You can forego all of this and just mix and serve.

Otherwise, cube a few apples and slice an orange. Gather cinnamon sticks for additional flavor and aesthetic appeal, and stars of anise for even more of a woodsy vibe!

Grab your drink ingredients and you’re ready to go.

How to: Mix the cinnamon apple Cider Cocktail

Guys, I’m not a master cocktail maker so you know this has got to be simple for me.

Shaking isn’t even required here!

Mix apple cider, cinnamon whiskey, seltzer and lemon juice thoroughly in each glass. Finish with ice and top with garnish of your choice and voila!

If you’d like to enjoy this drink warm, heat apple cider in the microwave or on the stove first and then mix. It’s like a hot toddy met an apple pie. It’s THAT tasty.
